High Grade III/IV satin finish checkered walnut curved grip stock and forearm. Marble Arms front sight and adjustable rear sight. Receiver is tapped for an optional peep sight.
The Model 1886 lever-action repeating rifle was designed by firearms genius John M Browning with the purpose of creating a lever-action rifle capable of firing the heavy hitting cartridges of the period - notably the 45-70 Government. The action was originally designed for use with black powder cartridges.
